What is Yoga Therapy?
Though all yoga can be potentially therapeutic and healing, Yoga Therapy is different from a typical yoga class, where everyone receives a "one-size-fits-all" instruction. Yoga therapy tools are movement, postures/exercise, breathwork, meditation, sound, visualization, and more. These tools address an individual's physical, mental, and emotional needs. Yoga Therapy meets you where you are.
Many people learn about yoga through physical practices, a common misconception is that the discipline is all about stretching and being flexible. Yoga Therapy can help people who can't move at all, as well as active individuals.
The yogic model of health is unique because it addresses every aspect of life rather than considering each body part or system separately.
Some of the Conditions Yoga Therapy Can Help:
Yoga unites body, mind and soul.
Eases tension, promotes health and well-being.
Regular practice improves your outlook on life.
Makes the world a better place
Meditation & Mindfulness
Training the mind is key to caring for the brain
Cultivating a meditation practice is key to shaping the mind.
Our state of mind pretty much shapes everything else.
When we can recognize and regulate thoughts, emotions, and impulses,
we can enhance a sense of self-possession and resiliency.
